ABOUT EVA EDERY ART
The artist and the inspiration for bespoke wall art
I’m Eva Edery, the artist behind this unique collection of stunning, custom, hand-made sculptural glass wall art. Attracted by the geometrical forms within cubism and abstract expressionism, I take my inspiration from Mondrian, Miro, Picasso and Pollock as well as the Impressionists whose use of light and reflection informs and guides my work. My inspiration also comes from life experiences and spirituality, from healing to looking positively at the future. The collections ‘The Journey’, ‘The Tree of Life’ and ‘Finding the Balance’ all draw inspiration from and reflect my insights from battling and surviving cancer.
My Mediterranean heritage, as well as other cultural experiences from living in a number of different countries, influences the vibrancy of colours, hues and shapes found in my designs. I’m fluent in Spanish, French and English and am happy to converse with you about your commission in any of these languages.
As an experimental artist, I thrive on new projects which require out of the box thinking to create the ideal solution for the client. I might use new materials and on occasion innovate new techniques which inspire me to create a perfect piece for you.
I have developed all my methods from my own creativity and refinement, melting extra pieces of glass, adding texture through different types of glass and playing around with colours and changing temperatures in the kiln to produce my unique, unconventional style. However, my focus is always on the end result rather than the intricacies of the process which unfolds as the piece takes shape.
What can you expect when you commission a piece of sculptural glass wall art?
Your bespoke sculptural glass wall art is made from the highest quality glass, sourced from the UK, Germany and USA. Larger 3D wall art for offices or more substantial residential properties can be made purely in resin which has a fantastic reflective quality, with a glass-like appearance. Alternatively, your bespoke piece can be a combination of glass and resin. Each commission is individually created using your desired colours and style resulting in a piece of art which is special to each customer.
